Pac Guy is a maze chase game starring Pulse Guy, made for the Pulse Guy arcade on pulseguy.com. It runs right in the browser, with no app, no install and nothing to sign up for.
You get three lives to clear the maze while four ghosts hunt you down, each in its own classic colour. Grab a power pellet and the tables turn for ten seconds. Every stage you clear speeds things up for both you and the ghosts, so it gets properly tense a few levels in. It plays with the arrow keys on desktop and simple swipes on a phone, and comes with a neon start screen video, background music, a mute button and full screen mode.
Tech stack
I made it with JavaScript drawing onto an HTML5 canvas, with the Web Audio API handling sound and CSS styling the neon interface around the maze. Like the other arcade games, it lives in an Elementor HTML widget on the pulseguy.com WordPress site.
